In the third year of reincarnation, the CB Hat is dealing with growing pains and a recession... several fields are under construction and unavailable for play. The Town Ranch camping location (new ball-field) has been moved (temporarily). The GREAT news is we have a brand new soccer field that holds two full-sized ultimate fields! The new Rainbow Park pavilion and fields are the location for the '09 CB Hat right down Elk Ave. Accessibility is even easier this year. Due to the lack of field space, this year's event will be held on two fields with six teams. Registration is by invitation only as we will be accepting only 84 people, 42 lucky women and 42 lucky men.

FIELDS - Field space is a primium in Crested Butte this year and we are lucky to have a brand new field space. With this said, the tourneament will be capped at 84 players for 14 people/team. There will only be 6 teams of 14 on 2 fields.

THEME - This year's theme is "Rags to Riches", a recession-based theme, play as a poor pauper during the day and party like royalty at night!

CAMPING - There is a great NEW location to camp 200 yards down a dirt trail from our playing fields right next to the Slate Creek. This camping is FREE. There is a bathroom right next to the fields as well. This new field is where we can play Friday night Cups-Frickets tournament and Flashflight games. Perfect venue for some evening disc entertainment. There are a few residences close by so the camping area is a quiet zone. Please use the utmost respect for this convenient location.

TRANSPORTATION - Crested Butte is a small pedestrian community. Please bring a bike to pedal around on. Leave your car where you are staying or camping.

DOGS/CATS - Dogs are not allowed in the new Rainbow Park or Pavilion. Bummer. Dogs are allowed in the camping area. Of course as a dog owner you will treat your animal fairly and not being a menace in the camping area. CB is pretty strong on dog law and you must keep your dog on leash in public areas as well and pickup your dog's poo.

REGISTRATION - will be taking place by invitation; past players will have first dibs and several spots will be auctioned off on eBay. Check-in will be Saturday morning before games begin. Please check back for participation numbers and availability. First come, first served.

MEALS - The price goes up this year to cover more amenities for your pleasure. You'll get a catered breakfast and dinner this year on Saturday. Great food all day so you don't have to hassle.

COST - $33/person. Cost has gone up to cover a catered breakfast on Saturday morning as well as catered dinner on Saturday night. We have several great sponsors and am hoping to bring in more to cover costs. This includes, swag, beer, water, coffee, dinner, breakfast and the party.

More details to come... sponsors, prizes, music, refreshments...
