In this forth year of reincarnation, Crested Butte is struggling to keep mining out of town... Red Lady (Mt. Emmons) is the 13,000' peak that shadows the town in the west. A variety of mining companies are looking to harvest the internal minerals (Molybdenum) from the Red Lady. We are going back a century to the good ole mining days... Saloon women, poker, swingin doors and the red-light district.

FIELDS - Our field space has opened back up with all sorts of green goodness. The CB Hat will be two pools of three fields, 12 teams, 14 players/team. 50/50 gender again.

THEME - This year's theme is a "Miner Disturbance!", we'll have to mine for points and D all day. At night, we'll all party in the old saloon down Elk Ave, at the red light disctrict!

CAMPING - Same location as last year, camp 200 yards down a dirt trail from two fields right next to the Slate Creek. This camping is FREE. There is a bathroom right next to these fields as well. This new field is where we can play Friday night Cups-Frickets tournament and Flashflight games. Perfect venue for some evening disc entertainment. There are a few residences close by so the camping area is a quiet zone. Please use the utmost respect for this convenient location. The town manager said she saw someone's ass last year in the parking area... hmmm.

TRANSPORTATION - Crested Butte is a small pedestrian community. Please bring a bike to pedal around on. Leave your car where you are staying or camping.

DOGS/CATS - Dogs are not allowed in the town park spaces or Pavilion. Bummer. Dogs are allowed in the camping area. Of course as a dog owner you will treat your animal fairly and not be a menace in the camping area. CB is pretty strong on dog law and you must keep your dog on leash in public areas as well and pickup your dog's poo.

REGISTRATION - is open! Alumni players have been emailed and contacted and have seniority. Check-in will be Saturday morning before games begin. Please check back for participation numbers and availability. First come, first served.

MEALS - The price goes up this year to cover more amenities for your pleasure. You'll get a catered breakfast, dinner on Saturday and a Continental breakfast on Sunday morning. Great food all day so you don't have to hassle.

COST - $40/person. We have several great sponsors and am hoping to bring in more to cover costs. This includes, swag, beer, water, coffee, dinner, breakfast, another breakfast and the party.

More details to come... sponsors, prizes, music, refreshments...
